Atomistic-to-Continuum Modeling of Carbon Foam: A New Approach to Finite Element Simulation We curated a set of supplementary materials to enhance the reproducibility and refinement of our methodology. An overview of what is included follows: 1. Porous-Carbon-Constructor_Application.txt provides the link to an open-source streamlit-hosted application that can be used to construct porous carbon models. 2. All six configuration files of the FEA solid models featured in this study are provided in .stl format. We provide 2 extra CT model files as well. 3. MathematicaScript_3DBoxCountingDimension3D.nb is a Mathematica script used in computing the 3D box-counting dimensions of the models. 4. PoreFormationVideo.mp4 is an animation illustrating the evolution of pores and the cross-linking of carbon atoms on pore surfaces during MD simulation to generate the MD porous carbon models. 5. ExplainerVideo_PoreDistributionAnalysis.mp4 is a tutorial video showing how we compute pore properties in Avizo 6. PoreFormationVideo.mp4 is an animation showcasing the brittle tensile response for the MD1 model.
