Affectionately known as the "Benton Harbor Lunchbox", the "Twoer" transceiver, like most Heath products, was sold in kit form. The transmitter portion uses 8 MHz crystals for (X18) fixed frequency two-meter AM output while the receiver is tunable super-regenerative. The Twoer can be operated from 115 VAC or from an external B+ supply and 6 or 12 volts DC.
Similar transceiver kits were available for 6 and 10 meter AM. An 11 meter CB version, the Heathkit CB-1, was also available.
