Hallicrafters SX-110

Hallicrafters single conversion general coverage receiver, circa 1959. Priced at $159.95. Covers four bands from 538KHz to 34MHz. Includes crystal filter (the "X" in the model number is the Hallicrafters denotation for the crystal filter.) Uses metal octal tubes for most functions, a bit unusual considering the era of manufacture. The S-108 is similar in appearance but is a cost-reduced version without crystal filter, tone control, variable selectivity or S-meter.
