Tube substitution list - 1945
During World War II, tubes on the U.S. homefront were hard to obtain. Substitutions were often made using lists such as this one by Richard Crane published in the April 1945 issue of Radio News.
With most tubes no longer being made, substitution lists and tube adapters will be of value in the future in keeping tube radios operational.
The two pages are left as images in a compromise between size of file and legibility. We tried optical character recognition (OCR) on the material to reduce the file size but the small and important footnotes were not easily recognized. The images are 800 pixels wide.
