The Mountain Drive by Florian Schlumpf is in my opinion one of the most significant hpv transmission components comercially available to date and I cannot even conceive of designing an hpv without one. His older style decadenol shaped MD2 is my preferred component in the series giving either 1:1 or 1.65:1 ratio with the kick of a heel. We have developed a beltwheel adapter for this device. The following shows two views of the MD2 with the cover removed, showing the planetery gear system. For the 1:1 ratio the outer ring is locked to the drive shaft, and for the 1.65:1 overdrive ratio the ring holding the four planet gears is locked to the drive shaft.
