Hla lab occupies a separate building located next to the Clippinger Laboratories, and the Edward Accelerator Laboratory. The separate location of this building serves as a natural vibration isolation environment (Web link for the maps and images of the buildings are here.) . Both LT-STM systems of Hla group are custom-built and are capable of all the atom/molecule manipulations and tunneling spectroscopy measurements including vibrational spectroscopy and mapping.
