A Word (or More) About Class Media
In keeping with my non-traditional approach to exploring course material, I am providing a series of media (mostly video) to introduce specific topics of importance. Most video clips are relatively short. Be sure to view the media associated with each chapter BEFORE you come to class.
Use of copyrighted material for teaching purposes (in the manner done here) is permitted by the Copyright Act of 1976. While you may download these materials to your computer for class-related viewing, you may not use them in other contexts or share them with anyone not currently taking the class.
If you have a slow internet connection (and find the videos constantly buffering), you may find viewing easier if you download the file to your computer before viewing. Right click on the link and use the Save As option to copy the video your computer. Please do not download/copy files to lab computers. University computers are networked and connection speeds are sufficient to prevent buffering of the video clips.
Note: If you (Mac users, Windows 10 users) have trouble loading/viewing these files, try VLC. It is supposed to work across all platforms and support all media file types.

Media are provided in .WMV (Windows) and .MP4 (iOS) formats. Choose the format that best suits your device.
